In most cases, utilities are paid for by your tenant(s). Exceptions may include:

• properties without separate meters
• properties where a homeowner’s association is responsible for certain utilities
• properties where the owner is placed into the position of leaving the utility in the owner’s name and then having to subsequently re-bill the tenant *

* Note: be advised that some of our local water and trash municipalities have requirments that may preclude the property management company from being directly involved in the transfer of the utility into the name of the new tenant.
