Do you provide regular accounting for the property - cropped

Yes, you should receive a monthly statement showing all income and expenses for the accounting period.  Normally, this statement comes in the form of:

–      a transaction sheet showing income and expenses by date, deposit, check number, payee, amount, etc. with current account balance

–      a summary sheet which shows year to date income and expenses by category with current account balances

Additionally, you should also receive copies of receipts for any repairs and any relevant correspondence.

With the above information, plus a 1099 for rents received that we supply in February of each year, you or your accountant should be ready to prepare your taxes.
